A Lifetime Spent Together
There is a certain joy, though sober. In the knowing that you have shared a life together with someone and have played the roll that you thought you should play as best as you knew how. But I think there is an improvement on that situation; not that the former is all that bad.
The improvement is when you know you have submitted your will to the one that gave you life and formed the worlds. When you know that you had no longer pursued the happiness of yourself or even the happiness of your own family; you can know that your life is held securely in the only one who it makes sense to have hope. This the best long term investment one could spend their time on.
